What comes with my order?

Every order comes with a satin drawstring storage bag and a Helmet Base Mounting Kit. The Helmet Base Mounting Kit includes the Helmet Base(s), Mounting Guide(s), 3M Adhesion Promoter Packet (except International Orders), an alcohol prep pad, replacement rubber bands, and stickers!

When is the next restock?

I aim to have regularly scheduled restocks every month, but for now the banner at the top of the website will be updated with each new restock date.

Will I get pulled over or ticketed for having braids on my helmet?

It is your responsibility to research the information pertaining to your own town/city/state/country on the legalities of helmet mounted accessories. 

How do the braids attach to helmets?

I designed the mounts to have two parts that lock together with spring tension. The Helmet Base sticks to the helmet and the Hair Mount is what the hair is attached to. The Helmet Base has two strips of 3M (06394) Double Sided Acrylic Tape that adhere to the helmet surface using 3M (06396) Automotive Adhesion Promoter (included in each Mounting Kit - except for International Orders). Will the 3M Adhesion Promoter leave residue on my helmet?

Nope! I have installed and removed Helmet Bases on my own matte finish helmets multiple times and I have never had any residue or marks left on any of my helmets. Can I remove the Helmet Bases from one helmet and reinstall them on a different helmet?

Unfortunately, no. Removing installed Helmet Bases off of a helmet tends to warp/damage them and the double sided tape is not reusable. I aim to have Helmet Base Mounting Kits available for sale on my site soon!

Do the braids cause drag or pull?

Yes. When I first started wearing braids, I could definitely feel them tugging when I was going highway speeds. I have Braid Babes (customers) report that they don't feel them at all, while I have had some say that they learned their helmet was the incorrect size and shape for their head because of the braids. Your safety and comfort is my #1 concern, so if you start experiencing neck fatigue or soreness from wearing helmet braids, please consider removing them and only wearing them for short periods of time until you build up those neck muscles! I include a satin drawstring bag in every order - temporarily store your braids in the bag until you reach your destination. 

Can I wear my braids while on the freeway/highway?

YES! I have tested my patent pending Helmet Mounts and braids at all posted road speeds in the US, with no issues. Please keep in mind that if the pull/strain is too much for you, you can easily detach them and temporarily store them in the satin bag that is included with every order!
